About VPA Studios
VPA Studios is a premier dance and performing arts studio located in Unanderra, just south of Wollongong, that has built a strong reputation for quality dance education and performance training. For more than a decade, VPA Studios has provided a supportive, professional and creative environment where students of all ages and abilities can explore and develop their skills in movement and performance.
Our state-of-the-art facility includes four specialised studios, a dressing room, a study area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and two spacious waiting areas, all designed to enrich your learning experience.
We offer a broad range of classes that encompass both foundational and advanced training, including Ready Set Dance, Jazz, Lyrical, RAD Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical theatre, Technique and conditioning, as well as specialised offerings such as HSC dance, Solo Tuition and Elite Competition Teams.
VPA Studios caters to dancers from early childhood right through to those pursuing pre-professional pathways, fostering technical excellence, artistic growth and confidence. OUR PROGRAMS
READY SET DANCE (2-4YRS)
Ready Set Dance is a combo class of JAZZ, TAP, HIP HOP, SINGING and MUSIC and a whole lot of fun! Our award-winning preschool program offers dance classes for children aged 2-5.
Immerse your preschooler in the magic of Ready set Dance’s energetic, current and original music that keeps them engaged throughout every class.
It develops the musical ear, dynamics and tempo while having fun with instruments and the parachute!
Ready Set Dance’s choreography and class structure is designed to captivate both boys and girls, fostering an inclusive environment where every preschooler can explore and express their love for dance.
Through our multilevel curriculum, Ready Set Dance promotes the three c’s, confidence, coordination and creativity.
Children develop muscle strength, control, balance and achieve coordination milestones.
COMPETITIVE PROGRAM (5-18YEARS)
Our competition classes cater to dedicated dancers striving to train at an elite level. Guided by industry professionals, students are challenged to grow in a supportive and encouraging environment. The program takes place in the afternoons, with students required to be available for our competition season, which spans from May to July.
SOLO TUITION
At VPA Studios, select students are invited to participate in our solo program, receiving weekly one-on-one sessions with designated teachers. These sessions are tailored to each dancer, focusing on personal growth, technique, and performance.

ELITE TEAMS
VPA Studios offers auditions for students to join our smaller, elite dance teams in our 8s, 10s, 12s and Senior Age groups. These exclusive teams are designed for dedicated dancers who seek to challenge themselves and perform at a higher level.

BALLET TRAINING
At VPA Studios, we proudly offer Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet classes. The RAD offers two main exam pathways: graded exams (Primary through Grade 8) and vocational graded exams (Intermediate Foundation through Advanced 2).
RAD Ballet is one of the most influential and dominant dance training syllabi worldwide. VPA Studios provides training in all levels of RAD from Primary to Grade 5 (Graded Levels) and Intermediate Foundation through to Advanced I (Vocational Levels).
RAD Examinations take place annually at the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters.
MINI MOVERZ
Mini Moverz is our competition program designed for students aged 3-8years. Participants enjoy weekly classes with options in jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, and acro. This program focuses on building correct technique and fostering skill development, providing young dancers with the perfect foundation to begin their journey at VPA Studios.
OPEN CLASSES
Open Classes at VPA Studios are dynamic, high-energy sessions led by industry professionals, offering dancers the opportunity to train in a variety of styles each week. These drop-in classes provide a unique experience to explore new techniques, challenge skills, and stay inspired in a supportive and creative environment. MEET THE DIRECTOR
Victoria Vargas is the owner and director of a successful Dance and Performing Arts Studio, VPA Studios located in Wollongong. Victoria currently teaches HSC Dance and holds her Certificate in Training and Assessment and is certified to deliver vocational training programs. She has also been a tutor for the University of Wollongong and taught 3rd Year Bachelor of Primary Education Students.
Over the years, she studied many styles of performing arts including lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre and singing. In 2006 Victoria went on to study at the University of New South Wales where she attained a double degree, Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and Bachelor of Education (Dance, English as a Second Language) and has since taught Drama/Theatre and Performance Studies.
Throughout her career she has taught national award winning troupe and soloist routines and received intense training and tuition from many well renowned Australian and International teachers and choreographers. She has been teaching and choreographing in all styles of dance for sixteen years, with a particular passion and interest in the contemporary, lyrical and commercial jazz genre.
Victoria has an exceptional student achievement record as evidence of her Band 6 results in both Dance and Drama and her HSC Dance works selected for performance at 'Callback'. Victoria is passionate about developing and building student's interest, creativity, technique and performance excellence.
